Rev. Martin W. (Marty) Radcliff

Hi!  I'm Marty Radcliff, and it's my privilege to be the pastor of the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church.  I've been here since June of 1993. Thank you for taking the time to look at our home page.  Since you've expressed your interest by coming to this page, I'll tell you a little bit about myself.

I grew up just thirty miles from here, in Caldwell, Ohio.  My formal education has come from  The Caldwell Exempted Village SchoolsThe College of Wooster (Ohio)  (Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Minor in Greek),  The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity degree), and  Covenant Theological Seminary , where I am a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry degree.  Previously I served pastorates in Highland, Wisconsin, Dousman, Wisconsin and Brush, Colorado.  I'm blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Vicki, who teaches developmentally handicapped children in the Zanesville City Schools , and blessed to have four fantastic children:  Joy, who is married, living in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and working for Sony Corporation; Grace, a student at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin; Abigail, a student at University of Wisconsin-River Falls; and Matt, who attends  Fort Atkinson (WI) High School.

Now you pretty much know the externals of my life.  Let me share with you a little bit of my heart.  I grew up in a Christian home, but didn't come to know Jesus Christ personally until I was a freshman in college.  He turned my life around!  He gave me peace of mind and a sense of purpose for my life.  I sensed very strongly His call into the ministry, and have found the work of the pastor to be challenging yet rewarding.  I wouldn't want to be doing anything else!  I love mining the riches of God's Word and sharing the treasures I find there with my flock.  I feel honored that they take me into their lives and ask me to be with them at the critical moments of birth, death, baptism, illness, marriage and crisis.  My goal is to build up the Body of Christ into the powerhouse of love and service that our Lord intends it to be.

I hope you'll be able to come and visit with us.  Perhaps you'll find a church home with us at Bloomfield.  In any event, the deepest desire of my heart is to know that you have given your life to Christ and have the blessings of salvation by grace through faith.  If you're not sure what I'm talking about, then  follow this link for a simple, illustrated presentation of the gospel message.

In Christ,
Marty
